Dining Rooms & Entries

The first room guests see and the one they linger longest in.

Entries set the tone for the whole house in about four seconds.

What a dining and entry project covers

An entry has a job to do before it has a look. Keys, coats, shoes and mail all have to land somewhere, and the room still has to feel like a welcome rather than a utility.

Dining rooms are specified around the table you need, the chairs you can sit in for three hours, lighting at the right height, and enough storage for the things that only come out twice a year.

Wallcovering, mirrors, lighting and art are chosen to carry across both spaces, since in most homes you see one from the other.

1

First impression

What a guest sees, and where coats, keys and shoes go so the entry stays clear.

2

Table and seating

A table sized to the room and chairs you can sit in for a three hour dinner.

3

Wallcovering and trim

Paper, paint and millwork, which is where dining rooms earn their character.

4

Lighting and mirrors

Fixtures hung at the right height, and mirrors placed to move light further in.

Our Process

A structured, step-by-step process keeps your project moving smoothly, with clear visibility into what comes next. The key milestones are below.

01

Getting to know you

It begins with your inquiry and a discovery call, then a paid in-home consultation, a contract and your design deposit.

02

Getting started

Measure and trade day, followed by floor plans, a mood board and your investment proposal.

03

The fun part

Your design plan and presentation, then procurement and installation.

How we work together

Clear terms, an honest conversation and a plan that keeps moving, from the first phone call through to installation day.
